Other Beer and Train Explorations

There are many awesome places and ways out there to discover beer, breweries, and of course, trains. Here are some fun ones I enjoy reading and exploring.

Beer:

• The Beer Mapping Project- Maps for breweries, brewpubs, home brew stores, beer stores, and beer bars for cities, regions, and international. They find the beer, we drink the beer. 
• Urban Beer Hikes- A blog out of Seattle, WA, it is what it says: it chronicles hikes to beer destinations around urban areas. Many of the older posts focused around the Seattle area but beer hikes from New York City to Chicago can now be found. Note: as of December 2014 the blog is no longer actively being updated. 
• Beervana- This blog is written by Portland, OR based writer Jeff Alworth. He started it in 2006 focusing more on the Portland area but it has expanded now to include all aspects of beer and more recently cider. 
• Philly Beer Scene- 

Trains:

• World NYC Subway- History, maps, descriptions and a boat load of other information about the New York City Subway and public transportation systems all around the world.
