Amtrak
In order to complete any of the brewery tours that center around an Amtrak route, you will have to decide which strategy works best for you. Unfortunately Amtrak does not sell day passes, nor can you just buy a ticket and hop-on hop-off at will.
Here are two possible strategies:
1) Purchase tickets at for each segment one at a time. For example, on the Keystone Tour, purchase Philadelphia to Ardmore, then when leaving Ardmore purchase to Downingtown, and so on.
2) Purchase a Multi-Ride Ticket, such as a ten ride ticket which is valid for 10 rides within a 45 day period. Note, these are not cheap so costs will have to be compared. Amtrak Multi-Ride Tickets
With all of this, keep in mind that Amtrak periodically offers sales and has discounts available for those trying to save a little extra money. Amtrak Discounts
In addition, Amtrak also has an app which can make purchasing tickets simple and easy.
SEPTA
Traveling in the Philadelphia area on SEPTA Regional Rail is a much more straight forward price. Your best option is to buy a One Day Independence Pass. This can be purchased for either an Individual ($15) or family ($29). This pass will allow unlimited travel all day on SEPTA.
